Weighing Matters

my journey to b.e.t.t.e.r

f.a.b.u.l.o.u.s.

What a fabulous day, to borrow an adjective from my daughter. She says ‘fabulous’ a lot! I’ve had a great day! I exercised bright and early — 5:30 am. It must have gotten my endorphins going because I’ve felt in control, I’ve felt happier, and much less angry at the world. I had so much energy all morning and accomplished all I needed to at work. I know that’s what happens with early morning exercise — the kind that makes me sweat — but I often put it off, or don’t put all my effort into it. Food has been good to me. I’ve not had cravings, not stuffed, not binged. It was a perfect food day.

That’s huge! It felt like a corner is just about to be turned!

Yeah!

I was able to finish some things at home, as well. Most days I’m exhausted after 10-11 hours away and just want to curl up on the couch with a blanket and f.o.o.d. But I’ve finished 20 announcements, a batch of permanent press and folded Levis. I also put away dishes and started another batch.

Why can’t I have a day like this everyday? I picture this is the way ‘normal’ people live. Happy. Consistent. Purposeful. Directed. Committed. It’s how I want to be when I grow up.

  1. Woohoo!! I am miserable, but I am glad you are not.

I was reading in Change Your Questions, Change Your Life today and thought of you. You should read Chapter 2 and 3…they brought out some questions in my mind and maybe they will in yours as well.
